30 years (Relaxable in case of Council/ Govt. employees).

Educational and other qualifications required for direct recruits

Essential:

i)  Master’s Degree in Statistics/Mathematics/ Operations Research/ Physics or Economics, Commerce (with Statistics) or Degree in Engineering Computer Science of a recognized University or equivalent.

ii)  3 years experience of electronic data processing work, out of which at least 1 years experience should be in actual programming on the electronic computer.

 

Note I:  the qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of CAPART in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Note-II:  The qualifications regarding experience are relxable at the discretion of the CAPART in the case of candidates belonging to SC and ST if, at any stage of selection, the CAPART are of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.

Desirable:

 

i)  Formal training in computer programming/ system design analysis.

 

ii)  Knowledge of any Assembler language and at least one of the  following language:-

 

FORTRAN, COBOL, PL/I, AIGOL.

 

iii)  Some experience in computer software

      system.

Period of probation if any

One year for direct recruits.

 

10.

Methods of recruitment whether by direct recruitment or by promotion or by transfer on deputation and percentage of vacancies to be filled by the various methods:

By Promotion failing which by deputation failing both by direct recruitment.

 

11.

In case of recruitment by promotion /transfer/deputation grade from which promotion/ transfer on deputation to be made:

Promotion:  Research Officer with five years regular service.

 

Transfer on deputation: Officers under the Central/State Govt./ Universities/Recognized Research Institutions/ Public Sector Undertakings/Statutory or Semi Govt. or Autonomous Organizations;

a) 

i)  Holding analogous posts on regular basis.

                                  OR

ii)  With 3 years regular service in posts in the scale of Rs.2000-3500/- or equivalent;

                                   OR

iii)   with 5 years regular service in posts in the scale of pay of Rs.1640-2900/- or equivalent;        

                                   and

b)  Possessing the educational qualifications and experience prescribed for direct recruits in column 7.
