Age limit for direct recruits

30 years/ 35 years for SC/ST. (Relaxable in case of Council/ Govt. employees on merits of each case).

Educational and other qualifications required for direct recruits

i) Degree of a recognized university.

 

ii) Degree or equivalent Diploma in Library  

   Science of recognized University or Institute.

 

iii)  2 years experience in a Library of repute.

Whether age and educational qualifications prescribed for direct recruits will apply in the case of promotees

Failing which by deputation failing both by direct recruitment.

Promotion:   Library clerk with 5 years service and possessing Certificate Course in Library.

 

Deputation: Officers Holding analogous posts or one grade below with five years service.
