4.         Scale of pay                                          :           Rs.  2200-4000 (now Rs. 8,000-13,500/-).

                                                                                    corresponding to Pay Band

                                                                                    Rs.15,600 – 39,100 (PB-3) +

                                                                                    Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-.

 

5.         Whether selection post or                       :           Selection

            Non-selection post                                            

 

6.         Age limit for direct recruits                      :           Not more than 40 years (Relaxable for Council / Govt. Employees)

 

7.         Educational and other qualifications         :           Essential:

            Required for direct recruits                                  (i)         Degree for a recognized university.

(ii)         Post graduate diploma in Journalism.

                                                                                   

                                                                                    Desirable:

(i)         3 years journalistic experience in a responsible position in a newspaper or News Agency of standing or experience of publicity and public relations in an organization of standing.

(ii)         Familiarity with the requirements of various publications and media.

 

            Qualifications relaxable in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
