History and Evolution

The Council for Advancement of People's Action and Rural Technology (CAPART) was setup in September 1986 by the amalgamation of the People's Action for Development India (PADI) and Council for Advancement of Rural Technology (CART). It is a society registered under the Societies' Registration Act 1980 and operates as an autonomous body under the aegis of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, with Headquarters at New Delhi.
