WORKSHOP ON RURAL SANITATION
CAPART Institute for Poverty Alleviation and Rural Technology (CIPART) is organizing a 3-day workshop on Rural Sanitation. The workshop is being organized from 8th to 10th August, 2007 within CIPART premises for 33 participant NGOs from Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand and Chattisgarh.

The Workshop includes interactive sessions, quiz programme on Sanitation Issues and visit to Sulabh International's Toilet Museum and Technology Park. The main contents of the training workshop are: (i) Overview of CAPART; (ii) Overview of Sanitation and Hygiene Scenario of Rural India; (iii) Need, Concept and Components of Sanitation; (iv) Total Sanitation Campaign and Integration of TSC with Different Government Programmes; (v) Solid and Liquid Waste Management; (vi) Community Mobilization; (vii) Promoting Sanitation and Hygiene Education in Schools/Anganwadis; (viii) Technology Options for Low Cost Toilets; and (ix) CAPART Initiative-Nirmal Gram Abhiyan.
