The Hon'ble Minister of Rural Development on 22-Apr-2007 inaugurated the Village Knowledge Center (VKC) in Bihar.
	The Hon’ble Minister of Rural Development on 22nd April, 2007 inaugurated the Village Knowledge Center in Bihar. The Central Studio of this Village Knowledge Centre has been set up at CGC, Vaishali in Bania, Dist. Muzaffarpur and the first remote site has been set up at Serukahin Panchayat of Kanti Block in Distruct Muzaffarpur.

The Hon’ble Minister had an online interactive session from the Central Studio with the beneficiaries sitting at remote location. This Knowledge Center will cater to the needs of the beneficiaries and render distant services from a single window point to rural masses especially in remote areas of the country through modern Information and Communication Technology. This Knowledge Centre is first of its kind which caters to the social and economic issues of the rural people. The Central can be connected to maximum of 50 remote locations with an aerial distance of 40 km.
