CAPART, NZRC, Jaipur would be implementing environment building programme to facilitate more and more gram panchayats to become Nirmal Gram.

In these efforts 30 Gram Panchayats with the help of some 20 odd NGO’s is being carried out. In order to established better synergy with the nodal department PHED planning and review meeting is being held in the chairmanship of principle secretary Shri Bharat Meena, I.A.S.

RR & MC CAPART, will inform about the strategy and requisite support for harmonious working in the state for the betterment of the communite.

12.00 – 13.00	Developing ODF villages – is it possible? Film, followed by presentation and discussion

14.00 – 15.00	Trigger approach to sanitation behavior change; What is a ‘trigger’, how to identify local triggers, some triggers identified in rural communities.
15.00 – 15.30	Mapping of Superstitions, psychological barriers with regard to Water & Sanitation practices and scientific arguments against these
15.30 – 16.30	Dry run on “Total Sanitation Approach” facilitation tools/techniques.
2^nd Day
09.30 – 10.30	Planning for field work – code for conduct, agenda, roles and responsibilities amongst the group members
10.30 – 11.30	Groups to develop their strategies for the field study and present
11.30 – 12.30	Lunch
12.30 – 16.30	Field Study: Following tools may be carried out with flexibility, with the community in the given sequence: Walk of scheme Social/defection mapping Calculation of faeces Flow diagram – ‘How faeces come back to us’ Fecal – oral routes through live demonstration Cost of illness Water quality testing Post triggering activities (community monitoring)
3^rd Day
09.30 – 11.30	Sharing of field experiences from day 2; learning, difficulties, observation and fine turning of strategy (if required)
12.30 – 01.30	Repeat the same process in the second village with limited facilitation from the team leader/facilitator. Each group has a de-briefing session with respective team leaders.
